R.C.I.A

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process for adults who wish to explore the Catholic faith, and ultimately be fully welcomed into the Catholic Church. RCIA is designed for adults who have either never been baptized, or have been baptized but have little or no affiliation in the Catholic faith and have also not received the Sacraments of First Holy Communion or Confirmation.

The main purpose of RCIA is to provide instruction and formation of the Catholic faith and prepare those who join to become active members of the Catholic community. For those engaged, this becomes a powerful time of reflection, discernment and prayer. RCIA also welcomes those that just want to “come and see”. You may be someone who is simply seeking more information or just curious about the Catholic Church. Anyone may leave the RCIA process at any time and there are no commitments made when you join. RCIA classes are taught in a classroom style setting, and although the classes follow a set schedule and timeframe, it is always a personal decision if and when you are ready to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church.

At St. Didacus, RCIA focuses not only on the formation on the basic teachings of the Catholic Church, but also on teaching how you can explain you faith intelligently, defend your faith charitably, and share your faith effectively.

St. Didacus wishes to provide a welcoming environment for anyone seeking a deeper relationship with Christ and guidance on their journey. Therefore, we encourage anyone with questions or in need of further information to please reach out at any time by contacting Johnny Romero at 818-472-4599.
